An Introduction to LawyerShare.com LLC and the Beta Period
LawyerShare.com LLC ("LawyerShare.com") is a legal information and reference site that serves as a sharing conduit for lawyers and legal practitioners. It is designed so that members can share their own legal documents and forms related to all areas of law and legal issues.
Members have the opportunity to use the free DocSearch® Engine to search for and download model documents, such as memos of law, pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery, contracts, legal forms, articles, wills and trusts.
The Beta Period signifies the unveiling of LawyerShare.com to the public after an intensive and comprehensive development and testing period. As a Beta invitee to the community, you are entitled to register with LawyerShare.com for FREE and get 3 free bonus credits for a limited time.
Here’s how it works:
Upload (send a copy) your legal documents to LawyerShare.com and earn one credit for earned for each document shared. Spend your credits downloading copies of other members’ legal documents from the LawyerShare.com database 24 hours a day.
DocSearch® and OnlineFileFolders®
To search for legal documents, members search FREE with:
1) DocSearch® Engine to search by term(s) or;
2) OnlineFileFolders® to manually search through an Area of Law. The File Folders are grouped by jurisdiction. All 50 U.S. States (and beyond) can participate.
Registering with LawyerShare.com is fast, easy and FREE. All that is required to start earning and spending credits is the creation of a username and password. MORE ON UPLOADING DOCUMENTS FOR CREDITS
Uploading is fast and easy. It takes a matter of seconds and we will guide you through the entire process. The only requirements are that any documents which you choose to share be related to the legal profession, be public in nature, not be copyrighted material and not divulge privileged or otherwise protected material. To change a nonconforming document into a conforming document, please edit or redact any sensitive information prior to uploading (e.g., party names, attorney/firm name, Index #, etc.) . All that is requested is that the heart of the document remains intact.
IMPORTANT TIP
Please use a sharing mentality and be generous with sharing your documents. This sharing philosophy will ultimately ensure LawyerShare.com’s continued existence for you and generations of lawyers to come. The more you share, the greater the chance you will find the documents you seek. To ensure that documents in your practice area are well represented, please refer the site to your friends and colleagues.
FORUMS
Look for the links to the Forums to the left of this page, on the homepage and throughout the site. The Forums include a free classified ad board, an information sharing board related to the practice of law (courts, judges, etc.), a question and answer forum, where lawyers and the public can seek comment on legal questions, and a Pro Bono forum, where lawyers can further share their expertise with those in need.
